Piazza San Fedele – Milan
concept conceived and designed by Romolo Stanco, street art and videomapping of V3rbo
Piazza San Fedele hosts in Milano, from April 17th to May 5th, the first off-grid island, thought to start a dialogue and a concrete comparison on the subjects of smart cities.
An independent installation but at the same time integrated in the city, able to offer concrete services and stimulus for reflection.

“SD4SC” graffiti mapping istallation

e-QBO, conceived and designed by Romolo Stanco, is a contemporary architecture off-scale, put as a die in a full urban center, which is able to integrate itself with the existing historical and actual environment without loosing its identity.
e-QBO accumulates energy by renewable sources and it returns that energy as services for the city: it gives public lightening, information by videomapping or other communication systems, it offers a free wifi network, energy for the recharge of electric or electronic elements. The inside can become, following the needs, a meeting place, a connection, a private or public structure.
e-QBO becomes also the metaphor of a smart city.
As a smart city it is adaptive, that is it can adapt to changements of near context in a proactive way, generating a potential balance between the urban pre-existing context and the new functions related to the contemporary needs.
e-QBO is in fact an object that can be featured following different needs: the structure presented in piazza san Fedele has been studied to meet the requirements of a concrete project, but it can adapted on other requirements, becoming a little “portable” cube or an integrated part of another building for that it works as energy accumulator and services hub for the same building and for the city.
e-QBO offers its functions without any physical connection to the city and for this reason it can be put wherever and be used at once.

Duomo di MIlano – february,28 2012
Artwork created for IGP Decaux e Amiro Y2K
Project-On is a collective group of visual-artists founded in 2008 by Mitja “Verbo” Bombardieri, Simone “Joz” Rovaris and Fabio Genuizzi.
“D’UOMO” is a synaesthetic work carried out by Project-On on February 28th, 2012 on Duomo, the Cathedral of Milan, with video mapping techniques, on behalf of IGPDecaux and Ammiro Y2K, in cooperation with the Archdiocese of Milan.
It is a metaphysical view of man, inspired by the architecture of the building, talking about the dichotomy Man-Woman and Light-Shadow projected in the development of the social individual. Man, as a sprout, discovers the space by touching interpreting constructing and deconstructing.
The individual is represented as a creative light born from the union of the two archetypes of male and female, inspired by the genesis depicted in the decoration of the Cathedral. The light just started to move, discovering its size and starting to change, then multiplying in a harmonious waltz of 4 arches which dance on the surface , increasing up to become a view of the city (a glimpse of the surrounding map of Milan Cathedral) as ultimate symbol of social architecture.
At the peak of its development, the light then investigates architecture that points to the elevation, describing the interior, stained glass and the magnificence of its structure to switch-off the engine and bring the viewer into a dynamic phase of transformation from chaotic to surreal-synthetic mathematical abstraction ordered up to the synthesis of the eternal relationship between light and shadow.

Saturday, 28 january 2012 in conjunction with the launch of the call for artists for LPM 2012 Rome, LPM presents Ségnàlo”, the new work of VERBO, who returns after the surprising success of the photowriting performances Plotterflux, with a site-specific installation in the heart of the San Lorenzo district of Rome.
“Ségnàlo”is a game on words. Of words written on the wall, and signs and signals which paint and pixels bouncing off each other in the urban context, in a site-specific work that is both pictorial and video. The canvas is represented by the facade of the Department of Psychology, renewed in the urban context, to become itself a work of street art.
VERBO, multimedia street artist, investigates and experiments in avant-garde’s methods, always searching for the mechanisms of dialogue: a dialogue between the sign of the material spray and the shining sign of the digital video; a dialogue between the lettering’s evolutions, whic is a characteristic of graffiti’s culture, and the video mapping techniques.
A remix that disrupts these labels and brings to the eternal reflection of Itself in the given context. “Ségnàlo” is a site-specific installation dedicated to graffiti, running from a mural painted with spray and roller, on which is made a mapped relief and, where the artist realizes an animation projected back into the palace, using the light as a medium of animation.
